16 April 2014, Vol.1, No.33 > Part VI – Snowshoe-RAD – WE TOLD YOU SO!

Last evening, as expected, the ‘Three Stooges’ on the county commission accepted the ‘Petition for a Snowshoe Resort Area District’ (SRAD) and now all of us ‘taxpayers’ have to foot-the-bill and begin paying the costs, @ $1.00 for every two addresses nowadays in postage, so that in excess of 2200 ‘homeowners’ can get a notice of a public hearing and a chance to VOTE-IN-VAIN for three (3) representatives to sit on the SRAD board of seven (7) members!  Hah!  All of this is but a ‘smoke-screen’ for the appearance of having a ‘democratic-process’ since it is already known that Snowshoe Mountain, Inc. (SMI) already controls four (4) of the seven (7) seats giving them a MAJORITY before the ‘homeowners’ even get a chance to vote!

But this farce goes one step further since no matter how hard any given ‘homeowner’ or ‘Homeowner Association’ campaigns for himself, or anyone else, the ‘cats-in-the-bag’, the pretend-election is already a ‘done-deal’ since the WINNER who wins will own the LARGEST ACREAGE pursuant to the new law!  That’s right, pursuant to:

“WVC §7-25-5. Petition for creation or expansion of resort area district; petition requirements.
     (a) The owners of at least sixty-one percent of the real property, determined by acreage, located within the boundaries of the resort area described in the petition, by metes and bounds or otherwise in a manner sufficient to describe the area, may petition a governing body to create or expand a resort area district.”

Anyone wish to take a guess as to WHO owns the largest ACREAGE in comparison to the ‘Square-Feet’ owned by any given ‘homeowner’ or ‘Homeowner Association’!  You’re not in Kansas any more Dorothy, this is now TRUMP COUNTRY and he is the new ‘Potentate’ & ‘King’ on the mountain plantation, aka, Snowshoe-RAD, and ‘masser Trump’ is not known to make a bet unless he controls the outcome by hook or crook!  So to make sure that ‘masser Trump’ gets what he calls a ‘super-majority’ of six of the seven votes at all times – his Lobbyists in Charleston made  sure only those who own the MOST ACREAGE will win – and that folks is none other than SMI!

Commission Candidate, NORMAN LEE ALDERMAN (Rep-SD) was at the sparsely attended commission meeting and raised the issue of ‘Acreage 0wnership’ verses ownership by the ‘Square-Foot’ – but the ‘Three Stooges’ could not comprehend since THEY DID NOT READ THE NEW LAW – which has been typical as their collective pattern of ‘stupidity’ – always doing the same thing over & over and expecting a different result!  However there were several folks from the mountain who indicated that they had serious reservations as to the ‘constitutionality’ of the various sections of the new law and in particular the ‘acreage’ v. ‘one-man, one-vote’ issue!  But what do they know, Potentate-Trump considers everyone beneath him and claims his lawyers can ‘trump’ any opposition – so thinks all those with ‘Pride’ & a ‘Haughty Spirit’! 

‘King of the Mountain Trump’ has made a career LIVING OFF OPM (Other People’s Money)!  He searches for & finds persons as greedy as him, yet financially weaker than him, and he sucks them into his schemes, obtains their ‘investments’, then pays them the usury/interest that he promised would make them rich!  Didn’t a guy named, Ponzy, do the same thing years ago?  At any rate, as long as Trump continues to find ‘new investors’ he stays afloat and a couple steps ahead of his ‘partners’ and as long as its some kind of ‘development project’ he makes his millions on the cost-over-runs & then some.  And on those occasions when the projects financially fail, Trump bails-out by filing ‘personal-bankruptcy’ – which he has done twice so far –and guess who loses their ‘investments’?  Yep, unless you are a ‘preferred-stockholder’ you don’t get paid back anything – ‘common-stockholders’ -- just take it as a loss on their taxes!  BUT THIS TIME…the investment capital is right in front of him & ripe for the plucking since in place of ‘investors’ Trump now has THE EQUITY of all improved-property on the mountain as his new OPM!  And he doesn’t have to pay his ‘new investors’ anything since their EQUITY can be ‘collateralized’ right under their noses and they can’t do anything about it since they are all part of a ‘RAD’!  And if any property-owner within the RAD should object – Whoops!  A ‘LIEN’ can be placed against that property enforced by the County Sheriff!

As we said in Part I of this series, ‘Welcome to the world of Corporate Fascism’ whereby business corporations assume heretofore government-powers and become a ‘public corporation and political subdivision’ – in this case, CARVED OUT of Pocahontas County!  But instead of the ‘Three Stooges’ knowing what is at stake, or what to do about it, instead they collectively bowed-to-the-ground as ‘bootlickers’ and once again GROVELED TO SELF-SERVING SPECIAL INTERESTS!  You would expect these buffoons to at least have some concern for the EMPLOYEES that work for SMI being sentenced to a life of servitude for ‘Minimum-Wages’, or thereabouts – if not pay-cuts – let alone consider the plight of the ‘homeowners’ now caught in a web whereby EVERYTHING OF VALUE on the mountain will be ‘collateralized’ for whatever purposes six (6) of the seven (7) board members determine is necessary!  And does anyone really believe that King Trump is going to allow any serfs to interfere with his plans by not controlling all seven votes – BY ACREAGE!

And remember, your heard & read it here FIRST!  Unless stopped by the collapse of the $1.5 BILLION DEBT upon Trump and his Intrawest-lackeys – the Snowshoe-RAD will exhaust all its collateral trying to stay afloat with this ‘Life-support’ – but then come back to the county commission to REQUEST TO EXPAND THE RAD!  And guess where that expansion request will go?  Well, where else can it go – but go SOUTH ALONG Rt. 219!  So all you businesses & folks on the south-side of Rt. 66 – start counting your days before you too will be ‘collateralized’ to keep ‘masser Trump’ afloat and a step or two ahead of his creditors!  Yeah, that’s right, HIS CREDITORS will now become YOUR CREDITORS as well!  And all the while Snowshoe-RAD is requesting to EXPAND – ‘masser Trump’ will be telling you how he’s trying to ‘keep jobs’ in the county – so give him what he wants – or else!  Same sheiss – different day!

And Citizens of Pocahontas – if SMI wants ‘more services for the taxes they pay now’ – what do you think it will cost all of us in the near future?  TODAY they want ALL OF US to be responsible for the LIABILITY of all new police on the mountain!  TOMORROW when they reach the limits of their DEBT EXPANSION, Snowshoe-RAD will then demand MORE LAND, BUSINESSES & LANDOWNER-EQUITY by expanding south of Rt. 66 and expanding down Rt. 219! 


Since NORMAN LEE ALDERMAN (Rep-SD) and PATTI HEINEMANN (Dem-ND) are the only candidates to bring these issues before you Voters – and they are the only candidates to offer the BEST SOLUTION to this dilemma – to have the State of West Virginia take RECEIVERSHIP of SMI now – and turn day to day operations over to this county and a ‘Workers CO-OP’ to SHARE THE WEALTH with 60% to the State, and 40% for the ‘Workers CO-OP’ – should they not become the next two commissioners – then watch & weep as things begin to rapidly go from bad to worse as the EXPLOITATION begins to take on a life of its own!  It becomes an exponential slide to destruction!  Doesn’t this usually happen to those folks who try to live by gambling with OPM?

Now you have a chance to elect two moral & righteous candidates to the county commission in the same election…so….

THIS TIME…there’s no excuse…

Just say ‘NO’ to those who want to keep this county in Poverty & Pauperism
– and –
Just say ‘YES’ to real Progress & Prosperity for the future!
