THE CRIER ENDORSES THESE TWO CANDIDATES FOR COUNTY COMMISSION!

Biographical Statements for The Pocahontas Times

IN THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT…

THE CRIER ENDORSES:

NORMAN LEE ALDERMAN (REP)
of Beaver Creek!

Norman is proud to be a lifelong local born & raised Citizen of Pocahontas County.  Married to Carol, also a retired Teacher, they have a son, Lindell, and daughter, LeAnna, both of whom were honor students at PCHS who went onto college degrees and careers, and providing six grandchildren so far.

Education & Experience-wise

Norman has a Bachelor of Arts Teaching Degree; is a retired English Teacher; a retired IT Specialist with the Board of Education; a former County Commissioner; an active minister with Cummings Creek Victory Chapel; editor of The Pocahontas Commentator & Etater, both Internet News Services; and he has been a lifelong community activist always striving for Social Justice for the people of this county!  As a community activist, Norman has engaged in several Citizen-Taxpayer civil lawsuits by himself and with others that have always delivered ‘positive-results’ for the people of this county and have always been accomplished at personal expense, time & effort.

As a result of his community efforts for Social Justice, Norman requested the official address for David Fleming, a sitting county commissioner, and was then falsely accused & arrested, including having all his computers, cameras, and electronic equipment seized in a ‘midnight-raid’ by the Office of the Sheriff!  It took approximately 16 months to win his case & have his items returned.  Historically this is the price that Righteous persons pay when they speak out against crimes & corruption of public officials!  That’s why Norman is running again for County Commission – to restore Honesty & Integrity in Local Government once again!

Some of the things that can improve this county are to have its own county development authority again, but this time with rank & file honest Citizens!  And IMAGINE THE JOBS & FINANCIAL GROWTH if everyone with Natural Spring Water on their property joined in the Pocahontas Pure Water CO-OP to make bottled-water the #1 business in this county and share in the prosperity – stopping ‘Fracking Forever’!  Since Intrawest & Fortress are in such deep debt, imagine if the State turned Snowshoe & Silver Creek over to this County to run as a CO-OP!  Imagine ‘Wind Turbines’ generating low-cost ‘Clean Energy’!  Imagine a county solid waste authority that actually follows the laws of this State!  Imagine ‘Public Works Projects’ to put people to work for the benefit of all concerned!  Imagine deputies correctly trained that did not sexually abuse women!  A lot can be done if & when folks put ‘The Greater Common Good before Self or any Self-Serving Special Interest’!

This election the people of this county have a real chance to elect two Righteous persons at the same time to the county commission to restore an Ethical Local Government, stemming from the Common Law, based upon the Divine Laws!  YOU have a chance to make history & Vote for Social Justice!  May Our Creator Bless all your efforts accordingly.

Thank you indeed!  See the Issues:

IN THE NORTHERN DISTRICT…

THE CRIER ENDORSES:

PATTI HEINEMANN (DEM)
of Green Bank!

Patti is proud she is a direct descendant of Thomas McLaughlin, one of the original families from Ireland that settled in this part of the Appalachia following the War Between the States.  She and her husband, Jerry, have known each other the whole of their lives since they were born in the same town on the same street and walked to Bible School together.  Following his undergraduate degree, they were married and raised 10 children, 7 boys & 3 girls, seven of whom were raised in this county, and all are college educated & married with families of their own, totaling 25 grandchildren to date.

Education & Experience-wise

As for education, Patti has a Masters Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications & Journalism, and has over 25 years experience in journalism, public relations, and organizational administration.  She’s been a lifelong activist for Social Justice.  What made her decide to run for County Commission, at the urging of friends & family, was the total lack of Ethics that she has seen taking place within this county in the last two decades!  Public servants seem to want to advance themselves and their careers at the expense of the Citizen-Taxpayer whom they are suppose to serve!  As a direct & proximate result, Patti has set forth a series of important Issues that she believes will advance this county into a fit place to live and raise a family.

A key issue facing this county is the need for a county economic development authority instead of a private corporation from Greenbrier County collecting all our money & land!  When Patti & her husband established a sewing enterprise to make T-Shirts in Durbin at the urging of the late Carlos Jones, they employed 15 persons at $5.00 per/hour with health insurance after 3 months when the minimum-wage was only $3.50 p/hr.  In less than a month a local banker, former commissioner & former sheriff forced Carlos Jones to ‘lock-out’ the new business, or be put out of business himself, since no one else was offering such wages & benefits!

Other issues needing resolution include: (1) Ending all solid waste authority lawsuits & expunging all judgments & liens!  (2) Obtaining ‘Cell-Service’ for the entire county, and another communications company besides Frontier!  (3) ‘Wind Turbines’ as a source of electricity!  (4) NO ‘FRACKING’ – EVER – Clean Water is too precious to pollute!  (5) Audit all county agencies pursuant to Federal Law!  (6) A Citizen-Referendum on where excess county funds should be spent!  (7) Establishing Snowshoe & Silver Creek as a CO-OP business!

This election we have a chance to elect two Righteous persons at the same time to the county commission to restore an Ethical Local Government, stemming from the Common Law, based upon the Divine Laws!  YOU have a chance to make history & Vote for Social Justice!  May Our Creator Bless all your efforts accordingly.

[Editorial Staff Note: For those who have asked, the ‘local banker, former commissioner & former sheriff [that] forced Carlos Jones to ‘lock-out’ the new business, or be put out of business himself’…was none other than Phillip Cain of the then First National Bank & Pocahontas Development Authority (PDA); former commissioner Dana Moyers who was forced to resign after a Citizen-Taxpayer petition & trial before a three-judge panel over numerous charges stemming from the ‘Howes Leather’ fiasco; and former sheriff Jerry Dale who was disgraced after lying under oath in the first trial against Jacob Beard when Beard was falsely charged & imprisoned over the ‘Rainbow Killings’!  And this is the same ‘Phil Cain’ that has had his hands in almost everything in this county in the past 25 years, and rumored to be the recognized titular head of the Pocahontas County ‘Poverty Preservation Society’ for everyone but himself and his fellow cronies!]

As researched by the Editorial Staff of The Pocahontas Crier, both Norman Lee Alderman as a former commissioner, and Patti Heinemann as one trained in public administration and experienced with 25 years working with NGOs – these two candidates have the Education, Experience, Courage & Integrity to restore public confidence in a Moral, Ethical & Righteous local county government once again & in our opinion the Best Candidates to elect to the County Commission!  Can anyone remember when this kind of combination of honest-folks ever served together in Pocahontas County?  NO, neither can we remember such a choice for intelligence, innovation, and integrity!

THIS TIME…there’s no excuse…
