FIFTHEENTH ORDER OF BUSINESS – NO BIRTHPLACE OF
RIVERS MONUNMENT!
On the eve of the
PRIMARY ELECTION the FIFTEENTH ORDER of BUSINESS is discussed according to the 15
POINTS, or Steps, towards providing PROGRESS & PROSPERITY to Pocahontas County
once again by the joint-campaign of NORMAN LEE
ALDERMAN (Rep-SD) and PATTI HEINEMANN (Dem-ND)
for the two positions on the County Commission!
If these two candidates for county commission WIN THE PRIMARY – and again in
November – then ALL 15 POINTS will begin to take shape
at the very first meeting of the commission in January 2015 – and
Pocahontas County will be off to a NEW START!
As is well-known by now, both Norman & Patti as commission candidates have been endorsed by
this Internet News Service pursuant to their education, experience, and
courage in standing up for Social Justice
against the handful of HAVES hovering over the rest of us HAVE-NOTS! That’s right, it’s not about
partisan-politics as much as it is against the ‘Poverty Preservation Society’ (PPS) within
Pocahontas County who wish to keep us as ‘slaves’ on their ‘economic-plantation’ while a
handful live in luxury at the expense of the many who are stuck on a ‘fixed-income’
or ‘minimum-wages’! In past issues of The Pocahontas
Crier anyone can find what we are talking about when it comes to
the people & policies behind the spreading of POVERTY & PAUPERISM in this
county while the same folks take for themselves and leave only crumbs for the
rest!
And if that is not bad enough,
than along comes the Federal Government with a hair-brain scheme to ‘carve-out-of-circulation’
another 123,000+ acres and form a private-federal-reserve called the ‘BIRTHPLACE OF RIVERS NATIONAL
MONUMENT’ PARK!
That much acreage amounts to about 40% of the federally-owned public
land that we now all have access to use – but if either the White House or
Congress ‘designates’
the land for a new national park – then everyone wishing to enter the ‘Federal-Zone’
will have to pay a ‘TOLL’ to use the same campsites and drive on the
same Scenic
Highway that we can now use for FREE!
Ah, but a little dirty secret that
is not being spoken about too much is the fact that a
new FEDERAL POLICE FORCE will be created to check ‘our papers & permits’ in
order to enter the new ‘Federal-Zone’ – after paying a ‘toll’ of
course! Now to put this into
perspective, consider the following:
According to Daniel Webster – a ‘monument’
is defined like so:
MONUMENT: (1) something set up to keep alive the
memory
of a person or event, as a tablet, statute,
building,
etc.; (2) a writing, etc., serving as a
memorial; (3) a work of enduring significance: as
monuments-of-learning; (4) a
stone boundary
marker; &
(5) a
tomb!
Defining this idea as ‘a tomb’
is perhaps the best analogy for this proposal since the plan will eliminate
access to in excess of 123,000+ acres of land in Pocahontas County to be turned
into a ‘national monument’ that is
supposed to fit into one of the above definitions! There is just one
drawback that hits you like a fist-to-the-face – and that’s that NO ONE KNOWS
THE TERMS & CONDITIONS UNTIL WE AGREE TO GIVE UP THE LAND! It’s you
folks surrender & then we will tell you what you will get in return! Just ask any Native American what that is
like! It’s not
so much a question of Uncle Sam talking out of both sides of his mouth – as
much as Uncle Sam talking with a ‘Forked
Tongue’…yet again! When you agree to sell me your house – and give me the Deed – then I’ll tell
you what’s wrong with the house that needs fixin’ and how much I’ll pay you!
So much for the State Motto, ‘Sempter Montani
Liberi’ = ‘Mountaineers are Always Free’ – not anymore once the new ‘Yankee-army’ occupies the same land
once FREE TO ALL TO VISIT, HUNT & CAMP!
Now you’ll have to ‘pay a toll’ or
have a gun pointed at you by ‘your own
government’! Sound familiar – ask a Native American living on a
Reservation or someone ‘liberated’ in Iraq
or Afghanistan!
The irony behind this whole fiasco
is that no matter what we folks believe or think should be the ‘new rules’ – IT DOESN’T MATTER – either Congress or the White House, or both, can change
those rules at any time to suit the fancy of the LOBBYISTS willing to
make the largest donations for the politicians in their next campaigns! For examples of the ‘Forked Tongue’, at this time the
‘Yankee-Federals’ are saying that
folks can still hunt, fish & camp in the
new designated ‘Birthplace of Rivers
National Monument’ park, i.e., the same 123,000+
acres that we folks NOW can already hunt, fish & camp within – but
under the new rules administered by the NEW FEDERAL POLICE – only four (4) folks
can camp at any one time at any one of the eight (8) camping sites designated
for the future! Such a ‘deal’ – who can oppose it? And let us not forget that the LOBBYISTS
drafting this fiasco can also dictate to open the alleged ‘new federal park’ for
mining-minerals, for ‘fracking’ to dispose of toxic-chemical-wastes,
or for drilling for oil as done in the so-called, ‘Alaska Wilderness’! So much for ‘Wild & Wonderful West Virginia’ – thanks, but no
thanks, Senator Joe Manchin, III, for joining with the ‘Radical Republican – Corporate Fascists’
within the Beltway!
Another irony in this whole
twisted-scenario is the fact that since Pocahontas County is so ‘small &
weak-kneed’ at this point in time – the ‘Yankee-Feds’ are betting that we will fold like a branch in the
wind – roll-over like a trained puppy-dog –
and just go along with the plans for their ‘land-grab’ and new Federal
Police Force! As far as they are concerned – it’s a ‘done
deal’ just waiting for our capitulation!
Ah, but why not? Who cares anymore? Hasn’t the County about had it financially
& otherwise anyway with…
♦ The Feds set to carve-out-of-circulation
their
123,000+ acres FROM Pocahontas
County for
their own private ‘Sherwood Forest’; and with,
♦ Donald Trump set to carve-out-of-circulation
another 12 - 15,000+ acres for
his private-corporate-
municipal-political-subdivision FROM Pocahontas
County as the Snowshoe Resort Area District
(SRAD); and with,
♦ The State DOH poised
to carve-out-of-circulation
FROM
Pocahontas County thousands-of-acres for a
‘four-lane’ right down the
valley besides Rt. 92 to
connect I-64 with Corridor-H to accommodate
both
Snowshoe-RAD and the ‘new federal
park’; and with,
♦ The best of the
county-owned land being taken
FROM
Pocahontas County and GIVEN FOR FREE to
the self-serving
private-corporation, Greenbrier
Valley Economic Development
Corporation
(GVEDC) – so as to enrich these thieves
& deceivers
even more…
♦
WHAT will be left for
the residents of this county –
except higher-taxes,
higher-utility-sewage bills,
higher communication services, higher-insurance
rates, higher cost-of-living, and higher expenses on
all sides living in a ‘tourist-trap’?
– and,
♦
WHO do we thank for all this Poverty &
Pauperism?
The ‘titular-heads’
of the ‘Poverty
Preservation
Society’ (PPS),
like GVEDC members, Phillip Cain,
Joel
Callison, David Fleming & Bill Beard, Jr. and
groups like the county Chamber of Commerce
&
Tourist Commission? Who should get
more credit
than any other in their collective
BETRAYAL of The
Common Good for Pocahontas County
in place of
Self & Special Interests?
You can either thank
the current county commission with the likes of
David Fleming & Bill Beard, Jr. –
as hand-puppet-members of the GVEDC –
OR
YOU CAN
FIRE THEIR COLLECTIVE DERRIÈRES
and
ELECT
NORMAN LEE ALDERMAN (Rep-SD)
&
PATTI
HEINEMANN (Dem-ND)
as your New Commissioners who will make a
great big difference come January 2015…

THIS TIME…there’s no excuse…

those who want to keep this county in Poverty & Pauperism

Just say ‘YES’ to
real Progress
